The May Event and 12 Finalists

WOW, What a Weekend!!!! I was able to participate in a Promotional and Leadership Conference for Dairy Princesses. I was able to reunited with some dairy princesses from last year and meet a lot of new princesses. The one thing I love about this event is that we all have the same love and same passion which is Dairy. Not only are we able to share our story but still learn more about speaking and building public's confidence in Dairy Foods and Farmers.

There is judging that goes on to see who will be the 12 finalist for Princess Kay of the Milky Way. We go through three processes:
1.) Personal Interview: For this part we are asked numerous questions about ourselves and the dairy community.

2.) Mock Media Interview: Basically it is like we are doing a radio or newspaper interview.
3.) Speech: This year we were given three audience group and topics to chose from. This year I the choice I chose was talking about Consumer Confidence to a High school Foods Class.

Taking Shelter

After Judging was all done and we could finally relax, it was time for some fun bonding time. Since it was raining off and on we did not go on a walk but instead we enjoyed some zumba dances, boy was that fun but that just might be the dancer in me talking. Then we were going to play princess trivia with the 2014 Princess Kay Finalist but then the Tornado Warning hit and we had to take shelter but in the end we went the to the St. Cloud State Bowling alley, finished the trivia game, and got a game of bowling in. I was hoping to get a game of Uno in too but they did not have it this year:'(

The Minnesota County Dairy Princesses

      I have say it was a great experience to go back and be one that completed but in the end only 12 out the 60 dairy princesses could be chosen. So on Sunday the 2015 Princess Kay Finalists were announced and truly happy for each of the Finalists. I was not one of names called this year but I know that God has different plan for me as a County Dairy Princess.
